Bathroom in oneof the cottages

At Izintaba we believe that a stay in the bush can be enjoyed in style and comfort. Bushbuck and Zebra Cottage are two thatched rondavels, which are luxuriously furnished, very comfortable and overlook typical Waterberg bushveld. Wildebeest and Impala can often be found grazing on the lawns in front of these cottages in the early mornings and evenings.

At the end of the day guests can relax on their patio and anticipate the magnificent sunset; make a wood fire in their private lapa, watch the incredible night sky and savour the heady scents and wild night sounds of the bushveld.

· Each cottage sleeps 4 in 2 en-suite bedrooms, one double and one twin

· Zebra Cottage has a loft, which can sleep an additional 2 people, ideally suited to children who are able to climb the steep ladder.

Duiker Cottage will appeal to those guests who really want to experience the peace and tranquillity of being alone in the bush. Situated on a small rocky ridge, Duiker Cottage offers spectacular views of the surrounding bush and mountains from both the covered stoep and the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.

· Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, one king and one twin, and one bathroom

· Open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen with granite counter tops.

· Large covered stoep with built in braai

Secluded on its own overlooking a rocky ridge, Kudu Cottage is a larger double story thatched cottage ideally suited for families and friends who want to enjoy the bush in privacy.

· Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, both with a shower and a bath.

· 2 double rooms and 2 single rooms.

· Ceiling fans in bedrooms.

· Large open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge with a fireplace.

· Shaded stoep and thatched lapa for outdoor dining.

· Private sheltered braai area with ‘Kykvuur’

Originally built as a home, Giraffe cottage has been converted into a spacious chalet with an open plan dining room, lounge and large kitchen that makes big family or friend get togethers comfortable and hassle free.

· Sleeps 10 people comfortably in 3 large bedrooms, one king, one double and one twin, with 4 beds in a spacious loft room, ideally suited for children.

· 2 full bathrooms, both with a shower and a bath.

· Fireplace in the lounge.

· Large modern kitchen and open plan lounge and dining room.

· Large covered stoep around the front of the cottage.

Private braai area with separate ‘kykvuur’

This exceptional bush home is used for our guests that choose the all-inclusive option, but can be booked on a self-catering basis allowing guests access to all the lodge facilities and comforts.

· Main lodge sleeps 10 in 3 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, 2 with king size beds, 1 twin and 2 large bedrooms, both twin, that share an interleading bathroom. Arrangements are flexible to suit each parties needs and extra beds are available for extra children.

· Large fully equipped kitchen with double door fridge/ freezer to accommodate large groups, two stoves with ovens, one electric one gas, and a dishwasher. Large kitchen table for relaxed family meals.

· Open plan lounge and dining room

· Bar with pool table and dartboard.

· Private swimming pool with thatched lapa for outdoor dining and braai area

The kitchens in all the cottages are fully equipped for self-catering and include all crockery, utensils, a 4-plate electric or gas stove with oven, a 2-plate gas cooker, microwave and fridge/ freezer. Dishwashing liquid and dishcloths are provided.

All bed linen, bath towels and soaps are provided in all cottages. Please bring your own swimming towels.
